Implementation Q & A

What was one of your biggest challenges when going blended, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest obstacle is students adjusting from a traditional, factory model of learning to a more independent approach.

What's the one piece of advice you'd give to emerging blended-learning programs?

Be willing to adjust your approach to meet students’ needs rather than trying to force your initial approach to work. If your original model is not working, adapt to serve your students. I would also advise schools to explore technology options to support their models. Instead of blindly using the traditional or popular educational technology tools, schools should find technology that fits their model and their students’ needs.
