Implementation Q & A

When you first implemented blended learning, why did you choose that particular model? (has your model changed? why?)

To utilize the power of teacher led and facilitated learning, while allowing students to self-pace their learning. Also, this model allowed for targeted intervention for each student.

What was one of your biggest challenges when going blended, and how did you overcome it?

Finding the necessary hardware to support a full online course. We used existing relationships between our school and Computers for Learning (CFL) to help acquire the technology we would need to support the course.

What's the one piece of advice you'd give to emerging blended-learning programs?

Seriously consider extended periods for any courses that will include blended learning, especially AP courses.
