Implementation Q & A

When you first implemented blended learning, why did you choose that particular model? (has your model changed? why?)

I was just trying to figure out how to differentiate instruction to students with varying ability levels. I had not even heard of blended learning.

What was one of your biggest challenges when going blended, and how did you overcome it?

Having the staff available to support the students. These were not independent learners. Some students would take 2-3 months to get to the point where they could do the program reasonably independent. Clicking through answers without learning was common.

What's the one piece of advice you'd give to emerging blended-learning programs?

Get a partner or read up thoroughly and do a structured plan.

Choosing quality curriculum. I have tried dozens, looked at many more, and am only using ones that work.
