Implementation Q & A

When you first implemented blended learning, why did you choose that particular model? (has your model changed? why?)

We created the Flex model because there were no school models or blended models that were sufficiently flexible and personalized. The lab rotation and station rotation models were too traditional, and A La Carte was not sufficient. Virtual schools did not provide enough support.

What was one of your biggest challenges when going blended, and how did you overcome it?

Facilities. We found a good one but it is expensive.

What's the one piece of advice you'd give to emerging blended-learning programs?

Patience. It takes time to figure out all the systems. School rules and expectations need to be different from those of traditional school models.
