School Overview

The Met Sacramento is a Big Picture Learning school, founded in 2003 as part of an initiative to open 54 Met schools nationwide. The Met Sacramento is based on four core principals: (1) small communities, (2) advisory groups with a teacher acting as a mentor through a student's high school career, (3) personalized learning plans to address individual student needs, and (4) real world learning through hands-on internships that foster broad learning.
