Implementation Q & A

When you first implemented blended learning, why did you choose that particular model? (has your model changed? why?)

It felt the least disruptive but at the same time, developmental for teachers and students. Initially, the school tried the flipped classroom model but students became disconnected and they wanted to talk to their teachers so the school reverted back to more traditional instruction.

What's the one piece of advice you'd give to emerging blended-learning programs?

From an elementary school standpoint, if working with a blended-learning program, it is very important to talk about the actual process of learning with the students - how to make children active learners within an adaptive learning platforms because it can become a passive relationship.
