When you first implemented blended learning, why did you choose that particular model? (has your model changed? why?)

Librarians collaborate. We need to make information and resources available for students. LibGuides is a natural platform with easy access to both virtual and physical resources that also allows for consistency of content across buildings, districts and countries.

What was one of your biggest challenges when going blended, and how did you overcome it?

Challenges included: learning curve to become facile with the platform and buy in from teaching partners.

What's the one piece of advice you'd give to emerging blended-learning programs?

Don't be afraid to ask for help. Don't think that you can do it all yourself. Your peers in your discipline are invaluable, as well as your teaching partners.

One of our presenters, Heidi Blais, was Cranston's Teacher of the year in 2015. Another one of our presenters (Sue Rose) has been the Library Program Supervisor in Cranston since 2011. Both of us have presented at AASL in 2013, which is a national/international platform. Sue Rose recently was a presenter in a webinar sponsored by the Princeton Review.
