Implementation Q & A

What was one of your biggest challenges when going blended, and how did you overcome it?

Balancing tensions between design, innovation and instruction. When we relied too heavily on technology, it led to teacher burnout, students isolation, and low rigour.

What's the one piece of advice you'd give to emerging blended-learning programs?

Don't drill away the power of human relationships and what has worked well in effective traditional classrooms. Blended learning is not the end but rather a means to an end. It is a way to empower learning.
