Station rotation made the most sense as we had limited technology.
Helping teachers see the value of implementing this type of learning and providing them with enough support to make it meaningful and helpful as teachers.
Once our teachers used the programs with fidelity, they could see the benefit. I tried to support through weekly printouts, incentives and on-going professional development.
I felt I was able to get complete buy in by supporting teachers, rewarding efforts, and providing data. At this point, I do not need to do this as teachers have made it a part of their practice.
Midas Creek is part of a very involved community of parents and students. We have an active PTA that works hard to provide amazing support to the students and staff. We were on a year-round calendar for the first 9 years, but in 2017-18, we transitioned to a traditional calendar. We have many programs and offerings such as orchestra, choir, before school Khan Academy/Imagine Learning Math, gifted pull out (once a week, 4-6th), gifted math enrichment (M-Th, 30 minutes), Mountain Lion Award k-6, music specialist and a great literacy pull out for tier II using SPIRE. We participate in the STEM Fair, Battle of the Books, Geography Bee, and Monster Math.

In 2012-2013 Utah used the Utah Criterion-Referenced Test (CRT) to test students in grades 2 through 11 in Language Arts, in grades 2 through 8 in Math, in grades 4 through 8 in Science and upon completion of certain courses in grades 8 through 11. The CRT is a standards-based testing program, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Utah. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.
