What was one of your biggest challenges when going blended, and how did you overcome it?


The biggest challenge has been and continues to be teacher professional development. The teachers have participated in the State Technology Endorsement Courses. The school also continues to provide professional development in technology pedagogy several times a month.

What's the one piece of advice you'd give to emerging blended-learning programs?


Be patient and promote your program to your community.

Crimson View Elementary is a K-5 elementary school in St. George, Utah. The school has a STEM focus, with a major focus on using technology to enhance the instruction. The school has largely led the blended-learning movement in Southern Utah at the elementary school level. It has a strong belief that technology engages students in a way that improves their academic achievement.
