The biggest obstacle in implementing the blended-learning program is the limitations of the educational software. All the current products on the market are limited in a variety of ways and there is not one product that works for all students. We ended up selecting the product/platforms for the ease of management and access for both teachers and parents vs. the quality of the product. The second obstacle is that the selection of different platforms prevents an automatic data analysis of students competencies/gaps. Instead the teacher/parent have to enter into each platform and put together a comprehensive assessment on student progress. When working with technology companies to create an automatic interface between the different platforms, they all failed to deliver and it ended with teachers time being consumed with system integration and then ultimately doing the work themselves.
