Implementation Q & A

When you first implemented blended learning, why did you choose that particular model? (has your model changed? why?)

Individual Rotation model seemed most appealing because we feel like this model is how we can best personalize learning for all of our students and really tailor their learning to their individual needs.

What was one of your biggest challenges when going blended, and how did you overcome it?

Finding the right EdTech products was a big challenge. Many products are being oversold and not delivering the promise. We involved our lead teachers in this selection to make sure we find the best fit for our needs.

What's the one piece of advice you'd give to emerging blended-learning programs?

Stakeholder engagement is key to success. Sharing bright spots and quick wins as well as discussing implementation pitfalls frequently is vital to the ongoing improvement and refinement of personalized learning programs.

Select up to two focus areas you feel that you demonstrate leadership in, and tell us why here:

We successfully created a competency based learning model for our students rather than moving them ahead based on seat-time. Our school was able to scale personalized learning strategies within blended classrooms thru effective use of technology, data, digital content, and augmented reality of shifting educator roles.
